A big system

Posted at 04:36 PM on March 28, 2009

Just finished a successful installation in a Public house. The owner/landlord wanted an alarm that would sound if anyone entered the pub when it was closed as noone lived on the premises. He wasn't bothered about an insurance approved NACOSS system as quotes had come in at £2000 plus. I had just finished another house when the owner suggested I contact the Landlord.

A survey found that the Pub had many routes of access due to standard doors and fire exits. The final system included two working external sirens and a telecommunicating control panel with a built in sounder (312db of sound in total)

Nine PIR sensors were used and 9 door/window contacts. As mentioned a telecommunicating control panel and a remote keypad completed the system. A remote keypad at the entry poiny completed a system that had used 19 of the available 20 zones and the cost of this huge system? . . . only £685 fully installed .  The system was fully set up with a siren length of 7 minutes and a part set option allowing guests eventually access into the pub when it becomes an Inn. Took only 5hrs to install and I beagan at 7am in order to be finished when the pubs clients started arriving for lunch.
