Busy week for me . . Eurocylinder again!!!

Went to a house on Saturday and guess what..Patio door entry via eurocyclinder lock.  Its getting depressingly familiar.

Fitted a full alarm system with autodialler. Now they have five pir's two door contacts, a window contact to cover an upstairs access point and two remote keypads allowing full arming from both upstairs and downstairs.

Unfortunately the fitting made me late for my wifes Valentines day out so I was straight in the doggyhouse..  I felt I had to protect the house though as they had wanted the job doing asap...

After Wednesday's fitting described in the previous blog entry I also fitted an alarm in Halifax on Thursday for a lady who's own existing wired system ahd gone haywire. Not surprising since the installer had used rather unconventional techniques including wiring the power supply from an upstairs ring main using a junction box under the floor with no fused spur. Couldn't disconnect the old alarm and a previous engineer visit had only resulted in the remote keypad pcb being removed to stop the alarm ringing. Fortunately I could still fit my wireless system without any probs.

Friday saw one of my favourite installations. A new five bed house. No need to pull up carpets or flooring to fit my wireless systems always make the owners happy. They are always impressed with just how loud the alarms are with a siren in the control panel and one outside. Not good for my hearing though when I demonstrate the systems..

New houses are ideal for the systems I fit as the signals pass easily through the stud walling and the plasterboards make for an easy fit of sensors. Phone points are in the right places and plenty of electric sockets too always make for a neat installation.

The owners were so pleased they booked me in to do another house they rent out.

I also saved someone some postage . They called me about an alarm I was selling online in the webstore. I said I had one in my van so I drove over and sold it to him direct after fitting the alarm above as he was only 20 mins away putting a smile on his face as he saved £8.50 postage

Saturday was as mentioned at the start of this blog entry.

I am already booked up with installations next week so there definately seems some truth in the adage that there is a credit crunch crime wave.
